Bespak, a Consort Medical company, recognises the importance of the impact its businesses can have on the environment, its customers, shareholders, employees, and society at large and focuses where appropriate on opportunities that can have a positive impact in these areas.
Seeking to uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional behaviour Bespak is committed to ensuring that its business is managed and developed in a responsible and sustainable manner that is aligned to business objectives. This commitment is driven by the belief that significant benefits can be realised for all stakeholders by pursuing a proactive and consistent CR strategy. The group CR Committee is chaired by a Consort Medical Non-Executive Board Director and comprises of the Group Chief Executive Officer, the divisional MD and CEO of the Bespak and three members of the Company's executive team. The Committee meets quarterly, to define strategy, set targets, monitor progress against these and to report back to the Board on a quarterly basis. The CR Committee is responsible for reviewing and prioritising with the divisions new programmes, assist with resourcing and ensure alignment to the Company's overall strategy. Bespak In The Community
Bespak has been a supporter of the Bespak Great East Anglia Run for a number of years. This 10km race around historic King's Lynn continues to be popular with professional runners, wheelchair athletes and fun-runners of all abilities. It is a vehicle for many to raise money for charities. This year more than 25 employees took part and raised significant sums for charities.
Bespak and Consort Medical were presented with The Payroll Giving Bronze Award in 2010 for commitment to good causes and the local community. Awarded by the government-backed Charities Aid Foundation, the Bronze Award recognises the company's efforts to foster a culture of committed giving in the workplace by actively promoting a Payroll Giving
Scheme.
